Personal Style | In Bloom
With the promise of spring and summer comes the sunshine, cutoff denims and fresh florals. Now before you go all Miranda Priestly on me and sarcastically mutter how ground-breaking florals are for spring, I would urge you take a pause and bear with because I am obsessed. It crept upon me slowly when I was googling for wallpaper options and chanced upon a meadow of flowers. From there, I subconsciously began incorporating barely there blooms in my outfit. Finally, the addiction climaxed with a full blown flower power display. I've currently reached a level where every available space I can find is covered in peonies and daisies and I'd rather be woken up with a bouquet of florets than a cup of coffee.
A pre-conceived notion that I recently learned of is the belief that more skin show translates to more sex appeal. With an appalling number of distasteful Bollywood item songs, I can imagine its hard to think otherwise but this dress taught me differently. In a world of short hems and plunging necklines, this is my standout star. The bodycon fit and midi length makes me feel hella sexy so when I pair it with my sky-scraping heels and vibrant purple eye, it makes for a wonderful start to the summer.
