Old Favorites

I don't need to re-tell you how much I love the classic ebony and ivory combination, I've obviously expressed that enough * here, here and here !* The truth is, the more clothes you have, it just seems like it gets tougher to pick out what you want to wear. *Dad would agree with me on this fully!*  I was heading for a birthday on the weekend and there I was staring at an enormous closet sprinkled with sheers, bright trousers and lace. I was thinking about what I would wear, literally for days and finally; that morning, the confusion got to me and I ended up crawling into my old favorites.

Polka dot over-sized shirt, white studded denim shorts - Zara, Black beaded flats - Thrift (Goa), On my lips - Bourjouis 'Fuschia', On my eyes - St. Michael's eye-shadow palette, Maybelline Colossal mascara, Maybelline eyestudio allure eyeliner

You will have to excuse the hurried pictures and my hurt pinky toe, dolls. I know you cannot see the true colour of this lipstick shade but it is this deep gorgeous shade of fuschia *mental note:show the shade properly in another post* And so, I did end up in my favorite combination that night but hell, it had polka dots on it, I couldn't resist myself. Hope you liked it!

PS: I've got a fun post for next time!

Trend Report: Kate Spade Spring 2013

With the continuous posts about New York Fashion week that have been coming in during the past week, I couldn't help but marvel at all the creations of the designers for Spring 2013. It seems like we've got a vibrant, wacky spring in the coming year. I usually glance through the various collections without too much interest but this time out of all of them, I narrowed down on Kate Spade. Why, you ask? It is because I found her collection absolutely delectable. With neons and pastels, abstract graphic designs as well as demure classic ones; Kate Spade, you have got my heart.

Wicker cane bag, Abstract print dress and smoking slipper. Woot!

A bow print dress - How adorable is that!

'Play Hooky' 'Eat Cake for breakfast' and 'Skirt the rules' graphic print tess. Would love to own the middle one!

The eclectic mix of stripes and polka.

Subtle plaid and a cardi all in pastels.

If I had a choice, I would grab all those tees and definitely that bow-print dress in a jiffy! Do you have an favorite designers for Spring 2013?

It is the start of the week again guys and ugh, I had the toughest time opening my eyes this morning. Blame it on the tiringly fun weekend. That aside, I've got a month full of exams ahead of me *which I am dreading completely!* If only I could skip forward to November!

PS: An outfit post in a couple of days lovelies!

In the army.

Just like there are two sides to a coin, everyone has a couple of sides to them too. One day, I'm flouncing around in a pretty dress, all sweet and docile; the next, I'm wearing a military vest that brings out the 'no-nonsense' side of me. And that is an amazing thing, because being sweet for too long, well - it is boring! It is so empowering to have a side of myself that is responsible, firm and doesn't really care about the rest of the world. That's the part of me that toughens me up for absolutely anything to come my way.
Apart from that, it has been a crazy month and till the end of it, I'm running around like crazy, *trying to* cleanly finish assignments and such. September, end quicker please.

Olive washed military vest with crotchet pocket detail - Vintage, Neck detail black top - Topshop (London), Jeans - Miss Sixty (London), Sneakers - All Star Converse, Mirror finish aviators - Vintage, On my eyes - Maybelline Colossal Kajal, On my nails - NYX 'Rainbow Sparkle'

So this was the vest that brings out my other side and I cannot blame it! This olive washed denim beauty, with the shiny rivets and zips; it has every reason to for its rugged charm. With the Military inspired trend being one of Fall 2012's hottest, I'm glad I own this baby. Along with the feminine lace on the pockets and the black top, it makes for the perfect contrast. Through in comfy sneaks, fitted jeans and neon green nail varnish and I'm all set for Autumn!

Review: Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser

When it comes to skin products, with an oily skin tone and sensitive skin, I have to pay the most attention to what I put on my face. That is also one of the reasons why I use foundations and concealers just occasionally. So when it comes to daily cleansing, I like a product that cleanses out my skin, keeps my oil free for at least a while and doesn't dry my skin. That is when this facial cleanser kicks in.
*The review below is not carried out in association with any brand/company. The thoughts and opinions expressed below are completely my own.

Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser
I've been using this product for a couple of months now for daily cleansing, i want something that is gentle on my skin and keeps it healthy. Taking this into regard, I've got just one word for this product - Amazing.

It comes in a 200ml transparent bottle with a push dispenser to easily access the translucent orange cleanser which you can see inside the bottle.

Rs.350 (There is also a smaller size available which is for about Rs.100)

* Pros:

- The bottle is tightly fitted which ensures it won't spill if you want to carry it with you.
- The packaging is such that you can clearly see how much you have used, how much is left and when to purchase your next bottle- Keeps my skin taut and oil free up until about 4 - 5 hours after washing my face.- I haven't experienced any sort of reaction/break-out after using it on my sensitive skin.

* Cons:

- If you do plan on carrying it on a trip, you might find it a little large to carry around (But then again, you can purchase the smaller size for your travels)

My advice:

Neutrogena's Deep Clean Facial Cleanser has become part of daily routine and I'm definitely going to purchase it again and I would definitely I'd advise you to do the same !

PS: If you're under the care of a dermatologist, do check with him/her before you use this cleanser.

Hope your Sunday has been going good lovelies. Can't wait till my next outfit post!

All kinds of time

Here I am; awake early, sipping my cup of coffee and writing a post on this sunny morning. While my usual routine consists of inhaling my breakfast, dressing up quickly *read: drawing in eyeliner between bites.* and leaving soon; today I decided to get my priorities straight and write this post while I'm fresh and hearty.
I think it all comes down to what you decided to prioritize. Whether its your career, your relationship or your social life, you've got to think straight and decides what's most important. Regarding priorities, I don't understand the excuse 'I didn't have the time'. Time was always there but whether the task was important or not to you, now that is the question.
And while pondering over that, lets take a look.

Grey and Burgundy Knit top - Lee Cooper + Self modified, Grey leggings - Adidas, Black ballet flats - Local store (Bandra), Black patent leather tote - Mom's, White sparkly hairband - Thrifted (Bandra), On my Lips - ColorBar 'Amber'

While the monsoons bring along water supply for the year and flood holidays *woot!* they also make it so tough to dress up. On a particularly cold day, I decided to step out in fall tones *burgundy being my favorite!*, be comfy while going out and stay muck-free.

How do you dress during the monsoons?
