With the first day of spring having arrived just last week, it is only a matter of time until the leaves unfurl and pastel shades come out to play. Faces Hi-Shine Nail Enamel in 'Hollywood/54'

Beauty blogger Dayle Pereira of Style File showcases the glitter nail polish Hollywood from Faces Canada as part of the makeup and beauty products on a budget for the spring and summer

I generally groom my fingernails to stay short and tidy which unfortunately, makes intricate nail art impossible. That's why when I'm looking for a snazzy nail look, I rely on a nail polish that gives me that with ease. The 'Hollywood/54' shade from Faces contains multicolored foil confetti encased in a clear coat which looks chic with the simple stroke of a brush. It glides on smoothly and whether worn as a topcoat or plain, looks dazzling.

Vichy Eau Thermale Thermal Spa Water

Beauty blogger Dayle Pereira of Style File showcases the Vichy thermal spa water face mistas a makeup and beauty product on a budget for the spring and summer

I admit that when I first set my eyes on this spray can, I didn't think too much of it. That was probably since I knew little about facial mists and fortunately, this changed my notion about it. Said to contain mineral-rich water from Vichy in France, this can is perfect to slip into your clutch for a midday spritz. While it is slightly expensive, this thermal water refreshes and revitalizes the face without leaving a sticky residue, even on sensitive skin. Just what you need for summer, I say!

Price/Quantity: Rs.390 for 50 ml
Availability: Moderate. At select chemists,Vichy counters and online on Amazon India and Nykaa.

Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Shadow Stick in 'Bulletproof Beige'

Beauty blogger Dayle Pereira of Style File showcases the Rimmel London Scanadaleyes eyeshadow stick as a highlighter for strobing as a makeup and beauty product on a budget for the spring and summer

The funny part about this product is that I adore it for reasons apart from its primary purpose. While the champagne shade with micro-flecks of sparkle is meant to be an eye shadow, I have used it for everything except that. I've used the wooden crayon stick on my waterline to brighten my eyes and while it looked decent, it wasn't long lasting. However, it shines, quite literally, as a highlighter. The shade has just the right enough of shimmer to strobe my cheekbones and nose bridge without budging all day, especially when I'm going for a dewy look.

Price/Quantity: Rs.415 for 3.25 gms
Availability: Rare. At all Rimmel counters.

Maybelline Baby Lips Color in 'Spicy Cinnamon'

Beauty blogger Dayle Pereira of Style File showcases the Maybelline Baby Lips tinted lip balm in spicy cinnamon as part of the makeup and beauty products on a budget for the spring and summer

It's no surprise that the Baby Lips range is one of my favorite lip balms and this one did not disappoint. You get a whiff of that delicious cinnamon scent as the tinted formula glides on smoothly. It lasts for 3 - 4 hours after which it needs a reapplication. The colour payoff came as a pleasant surprise because I wasn't expecting a brown hue, which looked natural and sat lightly on my lips.

Price/Quantity: Rs.140 for 4 gms
Availability: Easy. At all department stores, Maybelline counters and online at Amazon India and Purplle.

The Nature's Co Earthborne Walnut Mint Foot Scrub

Beauty blogger Dayle Pereira of Style File showcases the Walnut Mint foot scrub from The Nature's Co as part of the makeup and beauty products on a budget for the spring and summer

While I have used this product in my DIY pedicures for years now, I've never fully realized how great it is until recently. There's not much fanfare around the brand and the product although there really should be! The walnut grits within it quietly slough away the dust and dry skin while exuding a tingly mint fragrance. You can really feel the results once you take a few steps and realize how light and smooth your feet feel - perfect for sandal weather!

Price/Quantity: Rs.430 for 125 ml
Availability: Rare. At Nature's Co stores and online at Nature's Co and Jabong.
