Skater girl

When you're in the throes of a bad situation, when your heart is breaking, when you can't find anything to wear *even with a gazillion clothes in your closet!* and when the gloomy weather brings you down; there is nothing like donning a pretty bright dress. On a particularly stormy day, when I attended the L'oreal Color Genius App launch, the weather was at its dullest and for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what to wear. Cue the skater dress, with its adorable, flouncy fit and cut-out back detail, which injected so much life to the outfit.

I added minimal rhinestone jewellery, a pinned back hairdo and a touch of pink to the mix for a more feminine feel and toned down the rest of the outfit with tan accessories. Irrespective of the overcast sky, this darling skater dress still made the day seem bright.
