Personal Style | Leap of Faith
Over the past couple of weeks, the phrase 'if you don't jump in the water, you will never learn how to swim' has been tossed around, rather freely. More than diving into the pond, the phrase is about trusting your abilities enough to take a shot in the dark and still float to the surface. However, coming from someone who has dove into the water, both metaphorically and literally; it's a rather overrated act.
The head-first dive into the literal water, left me gasping for breathe and spluttering through the rest of my swimming class. Now the metaphorical jump was more of a success. While it gave me the perfect opportunity to redeem myself, it made me realize how there are no certainties. When it comes to taking that leap of faith, there is no assured testament that you will sink or swim; just the chance that anything is possible.

From time to time, I find my personal style leaning towards being borrowed from the boys and I'm unapologetic about it, mainly because of how it ups the cool quotient. Of course, throwing on sneakers and ripped jeans can get you through many bustling day but adding in my eternal favorite red lip and a handful of pretty midi rings can put the 'chic' in sporty-chic, any day of the week!
