Beauty | Trend spotting at Lakmé Fashion Week S/R 2016

Being the prime duty of any serious fashion week savant, I always have my eye on the catwalk to see what the Fashion Gods have in store. This time as I juggled roles, things were a little different. As my time was dedicated to being on top of my job as a beauty editor, it felt like I was slipping on a new pair of shoes. I'm a fashion girl at my core but my focus on slick updos and punchy lip colours shone a light on the beauty aspect of Lakmé Fashion Week.

This led me to to report back to Style File on some of the hottest beauty looks that are fresh off the S/R 2016 ramp of Lakmé Fashion Week. Keeping in sync with the 'Illuminate and Shine' theme by Lakmé, this season saw its fair share of luminosity with glitter eyes and jeweled hair barrettes. Here's me reporting for duty with the bounty of beauty trends that caught my eye at the latest edition of Lakmé Fashion Week.

It's a refreshing feeling to see that so many of these trends can be transformed from the runway to reality as well. From the summer ready orange lips to the dramatic blue eyes, one look at these beauty trends is all I need to get ready for summer!
